Adaptive, RD Protection retreats derailleur position when hit, then instantly restores its position after impact. Shadow ES represents Shimano's slimmest, strongest evolution of their dominant chain-stabilization concept, keeping chains properly retained through turbulent riding. Wireless Di2 functionality acts instantly in response to input from XTR Di2 Shift Switches, and glides effortlessly through HYPERGLIDE+ cassettes with smooth precision. Enduro riders can expect total trail functionality when pairing the Long Cage SGS version with 10-51T cassettes; weight-conscious XC racers can combine the Mid Cage GS offering with a 9-45T cassette to achieve a lighter-weight compact drive.
